Chief David L. Parenti

Welcome to the Belmont, NH Fire Department Web Site.  The Belmont, NH Fire Department is a combination full-time/on-call department that provides Advanced Life Support, Fire Suppression, Rescue, Fire Prevention, and Fire Code Enforcement for the Town of Belmont, NH.  The members of the department are dedicated to providing the highest level of service possible and strive to meet this goal daily.  Our department motto “In Omnia Paratus” means “In All Things Ready”.  We are dedicated to preparing ourselves for response to any request for assistance, at any time, under any conditions.  Thank you for visiting our site and I hope you return often.

Chief David L. Parenti

 

Chief David Parenti began his fire service career in 1978. He became a member of the Endwell Volunteer Fire department in Endwell, New York. In 1985 he moved to New Hampshire and became a member of the Call division of Merrimack Fire Rescue. He was promoted to full-time in 1986 and assigned to A- Shift. In 1992 he was promoted to Lieutenant, and in 1995 he was promoted to Captain and assigned as C-Shift Commander. In 2001 he was promoted to the newly created position of Assistant Chief of Support Services and served as third in command of the department. In September of 2004 he was promoted to C-2 and served as second in command of the department.
On July 6, 2010 Chief Parenti was appointed as Chief of Department & Emergency Management Director for the the Town of Belmont NH. Chief Parenti is the first Chief hired from outside the department.


 Chief Parenti holds an Associates Degree in Fire Science, a Bachelors degree in Fire Service Administration from Granite State College, a Masters of Public Administration from The University of New Hampshire, and is a graduate of the four year Executive Fire Officer Program through the National Fire Academy located in Emmitsburg, Maryland. He is a staff instructor at the New Hampshire Fire Academy and sits on the Visiting Committee for the Fire and Emergency Services Officer Program.
